Macintosh:
- Right click on Finder and select “Go to Folder…“
- Type in “~/Library/Application Support/minecraft” and hit enter.
- Open “versions” and duplicate an existing folder (for example 1.6.1) and rename it to whatever you like (for example “custom“).
- Enter the folder and rename both the .jar and the .json file to the name of your folder (for example “custom.jar” & “custom.json“).
- Open the .json file with TextEdit, and edit the “id”: to the same as your folder (for example ““id”: “custom”“). Save and close.
- Rename the .jar to .zip. Double click and you’ll get a folder.
- Place the contents of this mod in that folder, replacing existing files.
- Also make sure to delete the folder named “META-INF“!
- Use cmd-a to select all the files, right click one and Compress X files. Place that archive next to your .json file and rename it from .zip to .jar. Also name the new jar the same as your json.
- Run the launcher, and make a new profile. Edit it to use the custom jar you just made. Log in and enjoy!
